Hyeholde Attire Standards & Dining Guidelines
At Hyeholde, we take pride in offering a refined dining experience that honors our historical roots. Our five-star atmosphere provides a sanctuary for the senses, set within a rustically elegant, cottage-style escape. To ensure an enjoyable visit for all guests, we kindly ask you to adhere to the following guidelines:
Attire Standards
Dress Code: We suggest business casual attire to complement the dining experience. We consider hats, tank tops, flip-flops, shorts, and team athletic attire too casual for our restaurant.
Dining Guidelines
Age Restrictions: To preserve the unique ambiance and protect the historic elements of Hyeholde, we now welcome guests aged 13 and older only. The design and setting of our venue include delicate features that may pose safety concerns for younger children. Exceptions to this policy are with the express approval of our Private Event Manager for contracted private events only. Additionally, many of our public events focus on wine pairings and other alcoholic beverages and are therefore limited to guests 21 and over.
Group Check Policy: We kindly request that parties larger than six limit separate checks to a maximum of four equal payments. A gratuity of 20% will be added to the bill for parties of eight or more.
Reservations: If you provided a current email address during booking or have one associated with your Resy account, you should receive a reservation confirmation by email, and guests with a mobile number on file will receive a confirmation text approximately 24 hours before their reservation unless they have opted out. We also make every effort to personally contact guests whose reservations remain unconfirmed. Our dining room, including table settings, furnishings, and layout, is arranged with intention and care, so it is important that we are kept informed of any changes to your party size. A reduction in guests is generally easy to accommodate; however, increasing your party—particularly on busy weekends or at the last minute—may not always be possible. For these reasons, we strongly recommend accurate reservations to ensure the best possible experience.
Walk-Ins: Please note that walk-ins, particularly larger parties or those visiting on busy weekends, cannot always be accommodated; therefore, we strongly recommend making a reservation to ensure the best possible experience.
Reservation Arrival Policy: We kindly ask that guests arrive promptly at their reserved time. As Hyeholde does not offer a bar or large designated waiting area, we are unable to accommodate early arrivals. We will hold your table for up to 15 minutes past your reservation time in the case of a late arrival.
Menu Requests: While we consider special requests, please understand that modifications may not always be possible as they can affect the integrity of our dishes and the focus of our kitchen.
Allergies: Please notify your server of any allergies, as the ingredients listed on the menu are abbreviated.
Dining Time: Dinner here is meant to unfold slowly, the way a good evening should. A dinner for two typically lasts about two to two-and-a-half hours, giving you time to settle in, enjoy the moment, and let the experience breathe. So if you’ve got tightly scheduled plans afterward, we may not be the best prelude - we’re the destination. We take pride in offering an unhurried, fully realized night out, not a race to the finish.
Table Requests: We genuinely appreciate guests who request a favorite table or server - so many of you have personal histories tucked into specific spots, and we love honoring that whenever we can. Some tables attract more than one request, certain sections may be closed, and the night’s staffing and operational flow all play a part in where we’re able to seat guests. We also work thoughtfully to provide accessible seating in our historic building, which can shape how the room is arranged. Because of all these moving parts, specific tables or servers can’t be guaranteed, but you can count on us to welcome you warmly and make your visit feel every bit as special as the memories that brought you back.
Technology Etiquette: To minimize distractions for other guests, we kindly ask that you take cell phone conversations outside of seated areas.
Corkage Policy: Guests are welcome to bring special bottles of wine that are not represented on our wine list. The policy is a fee of $40 per 750ml bottle (not currently on our wine list). We do not allow corkage in our private event areas.
Cake Plating Fee: We’re happy to serve cakes or desserts brought in from outside vendors. A $3 per guest plating fee applies to cover service, presentation, and cleanup.
Table Decor: Outside of custom floral arrangements, for which we recommend
2 Buds Floral Design, additional decor for standard dining reservations is generally not permitted.
Parking
Valet Parking: For your convenience, valet service is provided for all guests at no charge (gratuity appreciated). This is a standard part of our dining experience to ensure smooth arrivals and departures.
